In today’s booming market, American Trailer Rental Group (ATRG) is continuing to grow our inventory to accommodate all of our customers’ fleet needs. With that said, ATRG is looking for trailers! Here you’ll find all the information you need to determine if your trailers are what we’re looking for, and a walkthrough of our trailer procurement process so you know what to expect if you choose to sell to ATRG.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for trailers in decent condition, and in the 10-20 year age range from any manufacturer. 53’ dry van trailers with aluminum roofs are preferred, but we will also consider 48’ dry vans and translucent roofing. No fleet is too big or too small! Whether you have 1 trailer or 100 trailers, we want to buy whatever you’re willing to sell.
Do your trailers not fit our specifications? Contact us anyways by emailing Rob Pixler at rpixler@americantrg.com! If we think we can use your trailers in our fleet, we’ll be sure to give you a call.
How can I sell my trailers to ATRG?
Whether you have too many trailers and are looking to downsize or you’re replacing some of the older trailers within your fleet, we’re thankful that you chose to do business with American Trailer Rental Group. Once you’ve decided you’re ready to offload some trailers, email Rob Pixler at rpixler@americantrg.com.
Our team will then get in touch with you within 3-5 business days to discuss the specifics of your fleet and determine whether or not we want to move forward with purchasing. If so, we’ll schedule an on-site inspection of the inventory with one of our procurement specialists.
What can I expect from an on-site inspection?
American Trailer Rental Group wants to purchase your trailers! What’s next? Once you’ve set up an on-site inspection, one of our procurement specialists will visit your trailer on site to inspect the overall condition of your trailers. If you can’t find time in your busy schedule, don’t worry! You do not have to be present at the on-site inspection. After that, our team will assess whether we can utilize your trailers in our fleet and prepare a purchase offer!
I have a purchase agreement, what’s next?
Once the inspection is completed and a price is agreed upon, the owner will provide ATRG with a formalized purchase agreement in the form of an invoice. The sellers then have the choice to receive payment via wire transfer or mailed check. Once the invoice is received by our team, your payment will be sent within 24-48 hours via wire transfer, or 7-10 business days via USPS. Lastly, you will need to send all signed trailer titles to ATRG. We will arrange for pick up of trailers from your location as quick as possible. We’re happy to have done business with you!
I expect to have more trailers for sale in the future, can I sell to ATRG again?
Unlike some buyers, ATRG will always be looking to purchase trailers to meet our growing demand. If you have trailers that you are looking to sell, give us a call, no matter what time of year! We pride ourselves on building lasting relationships with all of our clientele, whether it be a renter or a seller. Next time you have excess trailers or it’s time to clean up your fleet, we hope that you’ll give us a call. We’re looking forward to working with you soon!
